Route 1
1:1 Discipleship Meeting as often as pair determines

The objective of rte. 1 is to provide a format that encourages and facilitates one-on-one discipleship. Once you state your interest and intended role, we will prayerfully match up a discipler with a disciple and additionally provide support however we are able.

It is our prayer and desire to see those a little further in their walk help others along the way, sharing what the Lord has taught them, and developing a lifelong bond through genuine discipleship.

We see strong examples of one-on-one discipleship in the Bible, such as:

-Paul & Timothy

-Moses & Joshua

-Elijah & Elisha

Paul endeavors to be an example to Timothy and teach him how to properly handle God’s Word:

2 Tim. 2:2-3 “2 And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”

Paul also states in 2 Cor. 1:3-4 “3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

We are all called to make disciples (Mt. 28:19-20), and it is our deep desire that we help in every way we can to see His people do as we are commanded.

Route 35
1:3-5 Discipleship Meeting at least once a month for 18 months

Rte. 35 is similar to Rte. 1 at its core (Mt. 28:19-20; 2 Tim. 2:2-3; 2 Cor. 1:3-4), but the format is broader. The objective here is to provide a platform that helps a small group of three to five individuals learn from a single qualified leader. The groups will be gender-specific, and the meetings and structure will be determined by each group's leader.

These groups will meet once a month for 18 months to cover deeper topics relevant to their context (e.g., marriage, parenting, grief). The resources used, beyond the Bible, will be approved by a currently serving elder. The desired outcome is that, after 18 months, individuals gleaning from their respective discipler will be equipped to launch their own Rte. 35 group covering the same or similar topics.

It is our prayer and desire that these groups form deep bonds and lifelong friendships as they continue to grow and serve the Lord in various capacities.

Route 812
8-12 individuals meeting once a month

Rte. 812 is intended to be a forum for men and women training to grow in their understanding and accurate handling of the word of truth, so that they may live it out in all their contexts. (2 Tim. 2:15-16)

Rte. 812 will be gender-specific and differ from Rte. 1 and Rte. 35 because there are no designated leaders. The format will be to study a book of the Bible with a study guide and/or an extra-Biblical resource approved by a currently serving elder. Each individual will rotate through their responsibilities to determine what is being studied and the group's direction, format, and function for their particular meeting. This will rotate each meeting. (Prov. 27:17; 1 Thess. 5:14)

For example, a group may study the book of James. The first meeting may cover chapter 1, and the approved study guide could be “James: Guidelines for a Happy Christian Life” by John MacArthur. The leader for that month would determine which questions to focus on, which verses to highlight, and the direction of the discussions. The next month, the new “leader” would then cover chapter 2, etc.

It is our prayer and desire that these groups build strength in their walk with the Lord, cultivate genuine friendships, and sharpen one another for whatever they may be called to.

Merger or On-Ramp
A Sunday School or class focused on review, discussion and application of the previous week's sermon
The purpose of Merger classes is to gather and discuss the application and implications of the passage(s) covered the previous week in corporate worship. The objective is to be a Berean (Acts 17:11) and dive into the text for accuracy, clarity, and application. These groups will be overseen by an elder or approved facilitator. The prayer and hope are that much of the discussion in this group will revolve around sharing how individuals directly applied God’s Word the previous week, discussing some deeper questions prepared by the pastor, and providing an opportunity for questions. This group will meet weekly, with the understanding that some weeks may be missed due to guest speakers and special services.
